For more than 50 Years Performance Feeders has been building Parts Feeding systems for the Industrial, Medical and Packaging industries. Today they offer 6 different types of standard feeders and the related equipment. They can supply just the feeders to people who wish to integrate them or entire feeder sub-systems with pre-feeders, tracks, escapements, conveyor systems and controls. Automation requires good, reliable part feeding and orienting equipment from suppliers with the experience and the ability to support manufacturing facilities coast to coast on short notice. Performance Feeders is the premier feeding equipment company and is ready for the simplest or most complex feeding applications.
Vibratory Bowl feeders use vibration to move the parts across specialized orienting tooling for high production parts feeding and orienting.
Centrifugal feeders use a rotating bottom disc to move parts around the inside wall to an exit point where they exit to a track or tube.
Flex feeders use a rotating bottom disc to move parts around and spread them apart in a pick area where a camera system identifies the part orientation and a robot picks the parts.
Step feeders use elevating steps to move small amounts of parts up and out of bulk onto exit rails, vibratory tracks or conveyors for simple orienting and discharge.
Drum feeders use a continuous rotating drum with flights inside to move small amounts of bulk parts up and over where they will fall onto exit rails or live feed tracks.
Slant Disc feeders use a continuous rotating disc inside of a drum with a closed bottom. The disc has part profiles cut outs for the parts to drop into and then exit down and out the side wall of the drum into profile gravity tracks.
Vibratory Hoppers use vibration to oscillate a tray which is below a suspended bind of bulk parts. The parts move gradually out on the tray and drop off the end and are usually used to supply bulk parts gradually to a feed system or batch process.
Elevating Pre-Feeders use a motorized belt with flights on it to pull small amounts of parts out of a bulk storage bind and up to a discharge point. The storage is able to be closer to the floor minimizing the need for lifting and dumping at higher elevations.
Hoist Elevators are motorized bulk container lift assist structures which allow for the dumping of bulk parts into hoppers located over the top of feeders.
Belt hoppers use a motorized belt to move forward a bulk supply of parts from a suspended bind. The parts move out through a metering gate and discharge typically into a feed system or bulk process. The hopper is quite and offers a positive motion of the bulk parts regardless of bulk weight effects.
Custom conveyors can be configured in many widths, lengths and with different types of belt or chain to move parts or containers from a loading location to a destination.
Feeder Sub-Systems are the combination and integration of several components tied together and under a control system.
Performance Feeders is a leading builder of vibratory bowl feeders, centrifugal feeders, custom conveyor systems and part handling systems. Since 1973 we have built thousands of part feeding systems including vibratory feeder bowls, centrifugal feeders, conveyor belt systems and many other types of automatic parts feeding equipment. Over the years, we have diversified our vibratory parts feeding equipment line to include vision feeding systems, step feeders, orienting elevators, tray handling systems, flexible feeding systems, and a complete line of peripheral products to complement our vibratory feeder bowls.
